Tumble dry settings let you control the drying process. Manually adjust temperature and time, but be careful not to make mistakes. "No Heat" or "Air Fluff" freshens items without heat. Low Heat (below 30°C) suits activewear and delicates. Medium Heat (40-50°C) dries thicker fabrics like denim. High Heat (over 60°C) is for robust cottons and linens but unsuitable for delicates. Check your manual as setting names vary. If it says "Dry Flat," don't tumble dry - lay flat to air dry instead.

Using low heat is best for drying most clothes - high temps cause shrinking, wrinkling and fading. While no heat takes longer, it preserves fabrics like wool and silk that would otherwise get damaged. The no heat setting also lets you refresh items between wears or re-fluff pillows and blankets.
