A Tummy Tuck can be a life-changing procedure for women who have excess skin and tissue from pregnancy that will not go away without surgery. But with a fair amount of recovery time required after surgery, it is important to begin planning months in advance.
Around six months before you would like to have surgery, we recommend checking in on your weight loss goals and begin a diet and exercise plan to meet them. Although a tummy tuck does help create a flatter abdomen, it’s important to know that it is not a surgery for weight loss.
One month before surgery, we recommend requesting at least two weeks off work for your recovery, as well as stocking your home with supplies you will need during this time.
