I hate skin it's so hard to maintain and then even though I know no one has perfect skin the way people are portrayed in the media has forever messed with how I think my skin should be

I feel ya. Like, it doesn't matter how good your skincare routine is, there will always be some flare-ups. I think you just gotta remember all the help people get when they're in front of the camera. Makeup, lighting, high-end products, etc.

And even people who do seem to have really good skin IRL usually are wearing at least a little bit of makeup. Lots of people say that the Mario Badescu cream is really good for drying out spots before they become pimples - so you start to apply as soon as there's redness. If that's a particular concern for you, maybe it's worth trying out? Or you could search for reviews of products that are suited to your skin so you're less likely to waste your money. 

Honestly if you’re gonna commit to boring life so early at least get someone who isn’t mediocre

i'm working on myself as a person, trying to be better and kinder and stronger. i think back to how i was a year ago or two years ago or five years ago and i'm so much happier now. i don't think i'm 100% there yet - i still have a way to go with accepting myself and dealing with my anxiety and depression etc - but i'm trying and i'm working and i'm progressing
