I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but a tip for possible stress prevention in your pets is to desensitize them to storm noises. You can play youtube videos of loud storm noises throughout the days before the storm actually hits. Start at low or normal volume and then gradually work up to a pretty loud volume. I’ve personally never tried this, but I learned it from a dog trainer friend. This can also work for fireworks!
