4. Yes. Maybe not exactly everyone, but the people who matter the most to me. Death happens to the people around you, the people you leave behind while you're off on your next great adventure. I want, even if I have no control over the circumstances surrounding my death, to at least be in control of the marks I leave behind because I know in my heart of hearts that I would never be at peace if I just... left.
I think I'd spend the last of my days doing everything I've always wanted, but never had the courage to do; I'd kiss the boy I've liked for the past two years; I'd dance in a fountain; I'd leave letters for my family and friends with instructions to only be read once I'm gone and away from whatever you may want to throw at me from what I'm going to say in those letters... basically, the regrets that I will no longer carry with me.
I am afraid of dying alone. Of having my last moments be nothing but the stutter of my breath and the feeling my heart give way, of blind panic as it becomes harder and harder to breathe and of me left thrashing, blindly finding purchase. I do not fear death or dying, I fear desolation.
