amidst the growing crowds and flashing lights, partygoers lost in their own world and daiyu fading into her own — seeking somewhere a little darker, grimier much to her displeasure. she settles against the faded brick wall, fishing through a purse that had costed her far too much. she was the exact kind of girl that didn't belong where she'd placed herself — designer from head to toe, nothing besides the cigarette and lighter she pulls out to imply she's anything but the perfect political princess. the longer she lingers is only when she begins to fit into the mold of her setting, features dimming into something of mild annoyance, exhaustion, perhaps a bit of anger she's never been able to help seep through. her eyes peer from corner to corner, a few bodies moving through the mix — people going home and people going on new adventures. right now, she didn't care much to do either. the cigarette hangs off her lips, flicking her lighter to no avail. a huff escapes, throwing the lighter onto the floor — not like her father was much of an environmentalist for a simple action to spark controversy. her eyes scan once again, calling out to the first onlooker — or rather, the first that looks somewhat normal. "hey." subpar greeting matched with a wave of manicured fingers once she'd caught their attention. "got a lighter?" she asks, acrylic pointing to cigarette in her mouth. / @drownedichor
