Drow Language
I did something similar in the past, but I feel I should compile everything in one post, because I get a lot of messages about this. As far as I’m aware there’s no official wotc Drow Dictionary, but there are “official words.” A lot of people have put massive time and dedication into fleshing out the language and making it make sense and even going into grammar: Drow Dictionary with Grammar Download link (it can be hard to find as the site is old and not well organized so here you go.) Scrolling down you’ll see they’ve added the official canon words in all caps. A list of the ‘official’ canon words Of course, good old forgotten realms wiki. Not always the most reliable source, but they do their research and try to source every claim. This is a quicker go-to if you want to use only canon words or would like to know their source. Last but not at all least, courtesy of my favorite human @tale-chaser ‘Complete Drow Dictionary’ This is probably the most complete, but some words may or may not feature in it. It’s a compilation from Candlekeep. You will find some minor discrepancies, that’s ok, a myriad of minds worked on these so that’s to be expected. I’m certain you can discuss with your DM, players, RP partners or whatever you use this language for, what will work. I hope this helps.
