even when keeping in mind that the PT are the POV characters, the first thing they did was standby as ann decided if to kill kamoshida or not and they were ok with risking killing kamoshida. So like, not even the PT frown 100% on murder

And as if that weren’t enough, they have each member of the PT, one by one, list how they feel about Akechi’s decisions both in the group text and then to his face. They talk about whether they understand him, whether they can forgive him--and not a one of them call him a crazy idiot with daddy issues who needs to die as a proper way to atone.
That was the most on the nose shit in that game, the most clear example of what the devs wanted the audience to feel about Akechi, regardless of whether or not their personal feelings aligned--and it still flies over antis’ heads. Still.
