I've been working on the character design lineup for my still un-named gay sci-fi comic. I figured since I posted one last night I may as well pop today's contributions up too (and repost last night's here because idk it was kind of a footnote on that post).
I'll properly introduce everyone and talk a bit about their story once things are a little farther along. Right now theres still one unfinished design for the main cast and the comic needs a name before I'll really feel ready to start properly blabbing about it.
Meet my blorbos. One is a shy gay disaster, and the other one is very friendly and *very* oblivious
The robot is Vikki (She/It)
The shapeshifter is Slolyvar (Any pronouns but She/Her most often)
They're crewmates in a sci-fi slice of life comic I'm working on that may or may not ever actually get made
I'm actually feeling so motivated to draw right now. I had plans with a friend this evening and just wanted to stay home and draw which I haven't experienced in probably 2.5 or 3 years.
Having nodeadline or clients or people this for other than me has been so nice. Legit just drawing for my own enjoyment and chilling with these OCs and getting to know them. Slowly just pushing the designs, adding more details, thinking more about their balance, role, and variety of silhouettes. Trying to make them all feel distinct and interesting but not overcomplicated because they will get drawn a lot if I keep going with this.
I still have two more characters I know I want the cast to have. Plus an old mech design I want to revisit, and at least one or two new mech I want to explore. Then the crew needs a ship.
We'll see what happens over the weekend, I'm not gonna push it. I just wanna let it flow when I have the ideas and the motivation.
