I was pretty busy last year this time and didn't get to take a photo. But here is a progression of my top surgery. One week out, 1 year, and now 3 years.

So I've been doing this thing where I look in the mirror constantly doting over my own chest. This is the first non button-up I've worn since surgery and it feels INCREDIBLE...well the parts of my chest that I can feel anyway. BUT STILL!

6 months ago, I had a surgery that gave me my life back. I hadn't realized how completely distracting dysphoria had been, and to have my entire brain back has been the best gift I could give myself. I want to thank my friends, my family, my community that supported me and helped make this happen. I want to thank Dr. Fischer and her incredible staff for doing an ace job and giving me an important pre-surgery ego boost by telling me I'd done a good job working out my chest ;) and I want to thank my ma, who was the drain-emptying MVP of the whole shebang. The other day during a testosterone levels check-up my doc asked me how my scars were healing and it took me a minute to remember what she was talking about. And that's the greatest feeling. Today I could change into my gym clothes right out in the men's locker room because six months ago I gave myself back to myself. #ftm #ftmtopsurgery #drfischer #trans #ftmfitness #transindustry
