#drewmo

  In an update to Albino Blacksheep on 07 February 2005, it was announced that drewmo had "joined [their] animating team". Then on 18 March 2005, Penguin Calls 2 was added to ABS. By this point, drewmo's Flash games and animations were popular enough, he was having t-shirts made for his spinnerdisc website, making him another early Flash artist to give merchandising a go. The third installment would take a bit longer; Penguin Calls 3 would go up on 01 January 2007. As this one has a much higher percentage of calls from Drew's family, combined with the fact that it took so much longer to come out, I suspect that word of the first two penguin calls may have gotten out, and several of his friends told him they weren't ok with being penguinized (Or just stopped leaving messages).   Also in 2007, Drew began drawing for the webcomic Left-Handed Toons (By Right-Handed People) and there were no further Penguin Calls posted to ABS after that. However, on 29 November 2009, Mokris uploaded to his personal YouTube channel an animation he'd made for his girlfriend's birthday giving one of her voicemails the Penguin Calls treatment, marking the series' only entry to deal with smartphones instead of flip phones.   That's it for this week's FLASHBack entry.
