She was complaining that the man in the neighboring apartment, who was otherwise totally pleasant and normal, would spend hours in his apartment belching loudly. And clearly she didn't want to aggravate someone dealing with a sensitive medical issue, but she found it so intrusive and stomach-turning that she felt she had to address it. And tbh I don't even remember what the columnist advised in the end, it doesn't matter, i just remember that nobody clocked that the dude was most likely just a fetishist producing content or playing solo. Right??

Who among us has not forgotten to turn off their bluetooth and accidentally broadcast some truly outrageous human content? I love burps. I love big deep belches coming from bellies stuffed and swollen and exhausted with pleasure. It's so sexy to me that reading the column was jarring, like, how could it not be a sex thing? We are all strange animals, enjoying our strange little obsessions that others have no idea about. It's all very silly and a lot of fun with the right attitude. I'm glad we've found ways to enjoy it together.
