seeing kenji this season and recognising his pattern of behaviour has been a wild ride so far. this man's been through SO MUCH trauma and seeing him now with these trauma induced sorta unnoticed even by himself suicidal tendencies? SERIOUS kudos to the creators for showing that arc SO BEAUTIFULLY, as all the mental health is portrayed in jwct, in a kids show.
a note worth adding here as well: i found yaz in particular paying closer attention and first recognising and realising what was going on very accurate. out of all six of them, she i think is one of the most likely to, due to trauma, have experienced similar tendencies or atleast to have seen them during her work at the therapeutic island we see her at in s1. purely theoretical thinking here but her hugging kenji after he backed out from going into yet another dangerous situation? something so sweet and deep in that scene that made me go huh. yeah yaz did you like. use to relate... anyway can someone write a fic about kenji and yaz trauma bonding over this similarity in their responses to these HUGELY traumatic events thanks!!!
