At this point, I’m not about to throw a fit either but I’m also not about to be your friend so no, “My good sis becky” cannot wear braids around me right now BECAUSE  clearly ya’ll still don’t get it. You can appreciate culture all you want but appreciation comes with knowing the history behind something and respecting it and if someone from that culture finds it a problem you are supposed to be empathetic to their feelings and respond and act accordingly. Danielle aka bhad bhabie along with many other famous white women have yet to try to understand why people are responding the way they are, they have yet to take any kind of initiative to understand where black people are coming from, they immediately get defensive and put down other black women. These are the same women who are nowhere to be found when little black girls and boys are getting kicked out of school for their hair or when certain corporations will not hire you or tell you to change your hair for a job. But these ya’ll friends...okay
