so, the thing is, our school was right next to an all boys convent school. like, you had our school and then our track field, and then a small hill, and then the boys school. so they were very worried about our virtue (i think????). because many of the school buses took both the boys and girls home to their common neighborhoods. idk if they thought bloomers acted like extra condoms or what. but that was their whole logic. “what if the boys saw you with no bloomers” like, well miss, if the boys saw me with no bloomers im sure there are more important things to think about than my lack of bloomers tbh. we had skorts too, but that was for pe days. we wore our “house” uniform for pe days. house uniforms were less vile than the beige monstrosities tbh.Â
