Okay, so today was a pretty awesome day.
As a kid, I collected mainly fire and fighting Pokemon cards. Fire was the element I liked most. Most of my favorite Pokemon were from the fire realm.Â
I had all of Brock's gym cards. Which I am totally proud of, but fighting wasn't my main element. I had all but one of Blaine's.
Blaine's Charizard.
After like 8 years of basically giving up the idea that I probably will never get it or waiting around til I found it online at a price I was willing to pay for it.
But before Christmas break, I had made friends with a guy from my biology class who also had an interest in Pokemon and we got to the topic of me having all but one of Blaine's cards. He nonchalantly mentions that he has it. He hinted, but didn't that he might give it to me.
I was kind of skeptical that he would cause he had just become friends and who would give an almost complete stranger a card like that?
But he tracked me down this morning and presented me with a Blaine's Charizard.Â
I literally stood there for a good thirty seconds before realizing that one of my childhood dreams of finishing that collection is now a reality.Â
Then I proceeded to spend a good five minutes of dancing like a spaz in the cafeteria out of excitement.Â
As stupid as it sounds, I am really excited and happy that my friend did this for me. He knew that he would never need or use the card, but knew that it would make me happy. A simple act that cost him nothing meant the world to me.Â
