The late 80s and early 90s were a goldmine (and I use that term VERY LOOSELY) of moronic novelty bands like Green Jelly and Pianosaurus—and these guys: Dread Zeppelin. They did Led Zeppelin covers played reggae style, with a singer imitating a young Elvis Presley. Really. This 1989 indie single has them taking a shot at “Immigrant Song” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do,” and it’s…um…yeah. Bonus points for the record label, which is a parody of Atlantic Records’ label design; that’s a nice touch.
