This week I started to sketch again in my A4 Derwent journal. I was focused mostly on the little A5 Canson One, which is pretty nice to carry around with you, but has very thin paper. The Derwent journal is more suitable for acrylic paints and takes water better, but it's heavy and not so easy to bring with you if you don't like carrying heavy luggage. But I needed a change, so I chose to work in it coz I so much miss acrylics!!!! 💖 This time I decided to draw first the oval shape of the face, then divided into 4 and draw the features, something that I seldom do if you know my drawing style: I usually start with the eyes and build the face from there. And I wanted to color this face, and for that I grabbed my Caran d'ache watercolor crayons. They melt so beautiful into the paper when you add water! I love to take a peek into other artists journals, and I find that very inspiring! That's why today I thought it would be nice to show you a little bit from my junk journal 😎 this journal is not complete, and I think I"ll be working a long time in it, just because I love adding pages, drawing faces or sticking ephemera to the pages!
