Yesterday I tried to go in a slightly different direction in my drawing but after the fourth try the technical resistance got to me so I did some Resistance Roses instead.

What are you working on as a hobby? Today is an overcast day, not too bad out, temps in the mid 50s, but still feels like a lazy day! 😆 I haven’t got outside to walk the past few days, but planning on it today. In the meantime; I’m back to working on one of my hobbies, which helps relax my mind. I started working on a new canvas, with drawing first. I plan on painting this soon. What colors would you choose for the roses? 🌹 All the same color, or different colors? My other project I’ll be working on is my mood board! I have been wanting to do I e for so long, and since my youngest daughter is doing one too, it got me wanting to start! I have my favorite magazine pictures/words cut out, and have been getting cute stickers here and there. Have you ever made a mood or collage board? I, for one, am really looking forward to the progress on this WIP by Janie Pirie, one of my favourite botanical artists. Posted @withregram • @janiepirie The beginning of a deep red rose called ‘Tess’. I’ve put in all the darkest shadows first as this helps me focus on the complexity of the petal formation.
