Introduce yourself Hey, I'm Nova, 20 years old and living in the US for my 3rd (about to be 4th) year of college. I'm into video games, mostly platforms like Kirby, fighting games, and rpgs, and reading some shounen manga. When did you start drawing? Are you a digital or traditional artist? I started drawing in 7th grade, when I was around 11 or 12, and I've become more of a digital artist nowadays. Do you use any traditional mediums? If so, which are your favorites? I usually just do sketches and using markers Why do you prefer traditional over digital? (or viceversa) Easier for colors and lining What do you think is the most challenging part about being a traditional/digital artist? Starting a project What inspires your pieces? Comics and Manga
image source: [X] Explain your "everyday" drawing process 1) Sketching figures and boxes for comic panels while thinking of ideas 2) Setting up the figures in poses and doing the details 3) Lining the characters 4) Coloring the characters/backgrounds if in the picture/panel Do you have an artist you admire (or more than one)?
My inspirations are: For characters: https://www.instagram.com/ctchrysler/ For Style/Panel Structure: Arika Toriyama Is there an artwork you are most proud of? Why? https://www.dropbox.com/s/raewwazj5jli1p3/Kabuki%20Design%20Contest.png?dl=0
Do you listen to music (or tv shows/films/anything else) when drawing? Yes, here's some of the songs https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWxLKgyydP5ELNJdYx-E8ZEOpSnFHJDsa
