I never draw interiors.. This is why. I have a huge problem with perspective, so thats why I don’t draw background. I have to start doing that (even though I really don’t want to! It’s so hard!). Do you have any tipp where and how to study perspective? Thank you! Your feedback is helping me a lot!
This is part of a continueing series of drawings done in hotels rooms. This group was done in Bilbao Spain in May and June. The room, a bland 1990s renovation, with floral curtains and a carpet with a squiggle-dot pattern, all very familiar and dull. These rooms are created to be not noticed, yet lived in night after night.Â
"Tom, home bound after surgery" This is an interior panoramic drawing, done over many evenings, with Tom recuperating after returning home from the hospital. In this drawing, Tom moves from place to place as he waits.
