Okay so I'll review what I think of the below songs. In average person terms. Therefore I’m clearly saying that I’m not a trained musician, but then- not all people who listen to music are fucking instrumental, lyrical professionals. Also don’t come at me if I don’t like a song you like, it’s not the end of the world. THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU DIDN’T ASK FOR:
1. Arizona Zervas - ROXANNE Okay this song is actually catchy. It’s super teen vibes but it’s a bop. and that’s not a bad thing. I’m just saying you can imagine a heap of like 15 year olds listening to this and thinking they’re like the coolest person in the room. Was this one of those tik Tok songs? I don't know. but anyway I remember songs that made me feel cool af (Cassie-U and Me) when I was 15. It’s catchy/ a bop. And I would listen to it if it came on.Â
2. Dua Lipa- Don’t Start Now I actually weirdly like this song. I’m not really a Dua Lipa fan (i.e I haven’t really had much interest in her other songs) I don’t like the bit where it’s super disco-y and there aren’t any lyrics. I can’t be bothered stating at what point that is, but I just didn’t vibe it. Other than that, I also would let this song play on the radio. Like you could dance to it and it wouldn’t feel weird. I also think Dua Lipa is a cutesy person. 3. Drake- War Okay the only reason I know this song exists is because it was trending as no#1 on youtube and I was like wtf? drake released something? and I was excited. THEN I listened to it and I was like wtf I don’t think I even like this. if I heard this on the radio, I'd change the station you know? I just didn’t understand why it was trending, like at all. It sounds like a meme. Maybe because it’s drake but I just don’t think it’s like that great. - also same thing with life is good with that dude.Â
4.Justin Bieber- Yummy Okay like aside from the fact that he promoted this song like nobody’s business is fucking hilarious because this was just NOT WHAT PEEPS WAS READY FOR. It was kind of a disappointing comeback but it’s fine it’s fine, you know the biebs is more than capable of creating an EFFING BOP. But like eating your wife out/ she sucking you off and then saying yummy is just like..... WHY?!?! The biebs has always sung songs about shit that is all like lovey dovey (gurl I fkn luv u bb type) but then he comes out with some fellatio song. AND ISN’T HE LIKE SUPER CHRISTIAN????? It was kind of funny to see him posting church videos about having this deep relationship with God and then promote a fellatio song. :/ It’s not fucking terrible or anything, it’s just not that amazing. 5. Doja Cat- Say so Bitch I LEARNT THE TIK TOK TO THIS. And I cannot be the only person who knows this song from tik tok. The song is another BOP. Also very teen vibes. Also fine. I have danced to this song in my living room like a fucking 10 year old e-girl and it was fun and didn’t get boring!!!! TOTAL VIBES. PLAY IT & DANCE. 6.Selena Gomez- Rare (general album) This is probably her best pop album. I don’t really like the narratives of the songs per say but there’s like one song I like on there. Crowded Room being it (has serious Cassie vibes tho??). The other songs are not bad but they just aren’t hitting that bop factor I probably hoped for. Some songs are a bit too sappy for me if I'm honest, and I know her album is a big like hey fuck u I'm moving on and having fun but it didn’t really translate that way in the songs. You know? Anyway, it’s probably HER best pop album but I wouldn’t say it’s like out of this world good. <3 <3 ALL LOVEEEEE. BYE.
