#drakestone

thanks to whoever rebloged that humble bundle deal for corel painter. Decided to draw this bad boy to help me make the change from Gimp to the new program. I can already see improvements! 

So, y’know that resource gathering bit?  One of the minerals in the first section of the game, the Hinterlands, is Drakestone.  It’s spiky, red, and sticks out of rock surfaces.

It looks just like red lyrium.

Think about that.  Some poor schmuck is just trying to mine some level 1 cheapo minerals to fix their plough or something, thinks they’re grabbing a chunk of Drakestone, and instead gets red lyrium.

Hell, any templars who questioned this “new, improved lyrium” could have been told some genius alchemist just discovered combining lyrium wiht other minerals improved its performance, and its totally believable because no one knows what lyrium is excepts it’s mined by dwarves, and hey, Drakestone is mined and is that color.
