The Dragon Drinks
She drinks and the veil of past transgressions slip away with every sip. The open heart of what was once apart of her soul develops once again. Alcohol possesses her past and reincarnates her present. The gift of the buzz becomes her happy place, perpetuating the dragons flame among the shadows of ignorance.
It is only after the booze wears off that the jaded reality flows back into her veins. A plastic happy comes over her, and until that next sip of liquid salvation; she must shop to wear an artificial armor of confidence. Clothed in fashion's, though naked by the light from above, and the few that see her lavish empty shell.
She wallows from man to man, party to party filled with adulation from others longing to chase that dragons flame, cycling her empty existence. Jason Ring | September 2nd 2009
