i swear my craft room is a room of requirement because i needed a single stretchy pants leg and what do i pull out of the fabric closet??? exactly that.
dragon puppet update:
i have now thought up a way to make the whole damn beast MODULAR so i can use the head as a puppet all its own without being attached to the body
and that gives me freedom to focus solely on the head while i put the body on the backburner to engineer later
efficiency is just applied laziness, folx!

i stayed up well past my already ridiculous bedtime last night to work on the dragon puppet but ended up ripping out everything tonight in favor of using polyform for the beak and cannibalizing my old historically inaccurate party city viking helmet for some nice lightweight horns
tomorrow everything’s gonna get glued on and hopefully THEN i’ll be able to really get this bird cookin

dragon puppet update: finally glued in the canvas mouth base, so the head is now functional. now i just have to start upholstering the thing and bulking up its body, articulating the appendages, and blocking out the neck and tail.
also because of the dragon’s own backstory i’ve been looking up reference pictures of injured birds and bats and that makes me big smad
