Monster Hunter Rise Concept Art: Splitting Wyvernshot

Was just playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate’s Online Guild Quests, and was just about to face a Dah'Ren Mohran with my party, but then the internet went all wonky, so I had to go it alone. And with just my Weapon, the Gore Magala hammer, as well as the DragonShip’s supply of ballista ammo and cannonballs, the Hunting Gong and the Dragonator, I knew I had to tough it out.

I got myself hurt a bunch, and it took a while, just to get to the Final Showdown. And man, was I in for it. When I finally got to the big battle, my supply of ballista and cannon ammo was replenished, from zero to full.

But I used everything I had, from the last of the ballista ammo, and the last of the cannon ammo, and I was left with periodic use of the Ballista Binder and Hunting Gong, to stun and push back the beast, respectively. Fortunately, I managed to get on its head, so I used the Dragon Bombs to damage it further. And yet, It didn’t help that my second use of the Dragonator MISSED!

I was running out of time, and the DragonShip was at 10% integrity. I had to resort to using just my weapon, and to my surprise, I managed to drive it back slightly. The Dragonator was ready, the attack was primed, I hit the switch, and it finally hit. The triumphant theme was playing, I still had my weapon, and to my joy, I drove an Elder Dragon off from the area. I was just able to win, and I was pumped!

I finished a mission that would normally be possible only with a full party not only alone, but without being defeated ONCE. This is the Shard Of Omega, and I have to say, immediately. Epic win, me. EPIC. WIN. Scratch that. ULTIMATE WIN!!!
