It was bliss. The days were spent lazily together, completely at peace and forgetting everything else around them. While the night is when they would reach out and make love to each other until they are again greeted by the morning. Sated, warm, and happy. Nines couldn’t hope for more, he relished in it. Because he finally got what he wanted after all this time. His mate is beside him and living in complete harmony.

Summary of Chapter 3:
Gavin woke up warm and sore. He remembers the bandits, the poison, the cliff…he gulped, and the dragon. But then, who found him and how did they fight it off? Whoever this person is, he needs to thank them, if they’re able to face off a dragon--
“You’re finally awake.”
Gavin looked at the direction of the voice only for him to stiffen. He expected an old hermit, a sage, a lone warrior, anyone really. But the one blocking the only way out, with the last rays of the sun glowing behind him… was a dragon.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Gavin eyes darted around trying to look for his sword—
“I have hidden your weapon if that’s what your aiming to find.” The dragon said nonchalantly and slowly walked over to him. “I expected you to be hostile, better to be safe than sorry.”
