Carole gasps. “That’s not the rules!” she yells in protest.

“No no, let me try one more time and if I get this in, you gotta marry me.” So much for no proposal. Oh well. It’s out there now.

He lines up to hit the three into the side pocket. He hits the ball but it stops just too short of the hole. He hangs his head in shame. “Goddamnit, I really wanted that one.”

Carole’s hands come up to her face as she laughs again, hiding her smile behind her fingers before she pouts dramatically, “Oh, my mama will be so disappointed.”

He can feel himself smiling back, grabbing at his chest in heartache. “No more disappointed than me, I swear.”

Carole jumps up to grab a cue stick and bum check’s Nick out of the way. “Now may I have my turn, please?”

“Sure, honey. Go for your life.”

It’s rough and unedited so don’t judge the prose too harshly. Actually, there’s something to bitch about: I have so much dialogue in my head, needing to write action and everything around it is annoying me lol like why can’t you just see what I see!!

The biggest issue I'm having with this asshole AU idea is I'm still watchin Yellowstone

The western au is mostly just me watching the show and jotting down ideas because each episode is my brain screaming at me that we could use that nugget and turn it into a short one shot!!!

The biggest bitch though is I'm torn because I want put together but bruised and bloodied Jake with rough and dirty and clearly raging Bradley to be gently reaching out and cupping his cheek and asking in the softest voice that Jake didn't know he was capable of, if he's okay and "who did this to you, sweetheart? gimme a name and i'll take their life."

BUT

I also want out of his depth Bradley to be visit a small town and stuck in a very country/redneck bar and to be messed with only to be saved by bearded, annoyed, covered in dirt and skin peeling because of a sun burn because he's been out rustling cattle from one pasture to another and having been called into town to pick up a brother/cousin who's causing issue, only to stumble on his feet when he lays eyes on an uncertain/unnerved Bradley and him to stalk over and ask in a low drawl if "this idjits botherin', you darlin'?"

both mental imagines are seared into my brain and I would like to write them and the other ones rotating in my brain like they're riding a lazy Susan.

So a few weeks ago I was possessed by thoughts of Jake/Javy/Bradley PWP ideas and they've been rotating in my head ever since.

This snippet is from the idea of possessive Javy and Jake. Featuring cheeky Mickey:

Huffing, Javy turned to glare at the side of Jake's face. "Like you didn't nearly break the pool cue when that barracks bunny yesterday wouldn't stop touching him." Lips dipping down into a growl, Jake wisely kept his mouth shut, knowing he had no true rebuttal to his point. Because unfortunately, it was true. Jake had nearly broken it, to the stink eye of Penny. "Jesus Christ, you two, put a collar on him already." Heads snapping to the side almost as one, they each arched a brow at Mickey. "Excuse me?" Jake nearly snapped out. "I beg your pardon?" Javy called incredulously. "Rooster. If you're gonna be like this every time someone else smiles or bats eyes at him, put a collar on him. Or a ring. Or something that will ward people off of your boy."

So since did that, here's a snippet of it:

“Are you sure though? Do you know that?” Bradley asks, stressing the words as he bites at his bottom lip, staring at Jake like he’s imploring him to know Bradley wants him. Only him and not all the things he can and does give Bradley. “Honey,” Jake murmurs, soft and serious, lifts his hand up to softly cup his face. He holds them there, staring into one another’s eyes before he shifts his grip until he’s holding Bradley’s chin in his hand. Slowly he tightens it as he steps forward until they’re nearly pressed together. “I’ve never thought you gave into my flirtin’ because you wanted my money. I see how you balk at what I deem worthy of spending on you. I know you’d rather I didn’t. That you be just as happy with shitty fast food and cheap dates just walkin’ around to look at things. I know all that about you.” He pauses and tugs Bradley’s head down to press a firm kiss to his lips before drawing back, so neither of them could deepen it. “But I like spoiling you. I like spending my money on you. I want to give you everything I can. To give you anything you could ever want. I want you happy and whole and healthy and to have the world, if I could give it to you. Understand?”

Speedrun Hangster Girl Dads mybeloved!! So this idea came to me while I was in the middle of cooking and it literally took over my brain for weeks and still lives there rent free in a section of my brain.

The basic idea is that mostly follows what we know of canon, with Mav pulling Bradley's papers. Only while he's there, he gets into an accident and loses his chances of getting into the Navy or flying and he kind of bums around until he and his long term hook up get pregnant. And he follows her down to Texas and while she decides she doesn't want to be a mom, Bradley is kind of on the fence until he hears the baby's heart beat and knows he'll do whatever he can to give his child the world.

But while there, he gets adopted by the Seresin clan and gets moved in and helped out a lot. All before meeting Jake. And they literally speed run enemies to friends to lovers in a span of a month, all before the baby is born.

Basically in this one, they embrace the Bradshaw love story. They just go hard for each other. And have a few daughters because girl dads is a favorite of mine.

This idea was born from me and @redfurrycat yelling at each other about a thought I had XD it was expanded on a lot that I just couldn't stop thinking about it and needed to get the words down and out of my head.

Essentially the base idea is that Jake came from an ultra rich family and was secretly a contract/serial killer, who meets Bradley by complete accident and becomes absolutely fascinated by him and his everything. And spends weeks trying to woo him and flirt and fails at it a lot before he does something that just trips Bradley up enough to finally agree to going on a date with him.

Meanwhile Bradley is struggling under the mountain of debt from his mother's cancer and college loans because he had to drop out and is just stuck in a pit of despair and then suddenly this sunny, blond asshole walks into his life and claims he just wants to make it all better but he doesn't trust it until Jake does something that Bradley can't ignore, so he agrees to finally let Jake take him out.
