today’s feature of my favorite blogger series is my literal single favorite blogger :’) what can i say about jenn? this is going to be a very self-indulgent post because i can’t possibly talk about her without getting personal. i first “met” jenn at the end of 2016 when we both joined a jonerys network here on tumblr. i wrote my first ever jonerys fic the following january and she was such an enthusiastic supporter that I decided to dm her. best thing i’ve ever done! after all the pain and suffering game of thrones caused me, i still can’t really regret loving it, because it introduced me to the best person I know.
since that fateful fanfic jenn has flown across a continent to meet me, supported me through the most difficult mental health crisis of my entire life, made me laugh more times than i can count, introduced me to wonderful movies and shows that we could love together, and just generally been the best friend i could possibly ask for. it’s not an exaggeration or typical tumblr hyperbole to say she is the best person i know. it doesn’t matter if we’ve gone months without talking. It doesn’t matter if she’s having a hard time in her own personal life. when i say she is ALWAYS there to talk, i mean it. she also routinely makes tailored, custom content for me in fandoms that she isn’t even a part of. what kind of selfless angel????
on a more objective note, her blog and general tumblr presence is amazing. she has wonderful taste and her content is all aesthetic af and beautiful to look at. her career as a designer shows in everything she makes because all of her edits and icons are crisp and clean and beautifully composed. she’s organized and generous with her time which means that she does a phenomenal job continuing to run a source blog and manage jonerys fandom events more than three years after first establishing a place in that fandom. she supports other creators tirelessly and ALWAYS makes the time to leave kudos and comments to support fanfic writers. she’s the backbone of the jonerys fandom (and the backbone of my mental health). i’m getting teary-eyed writing this because i’m just that grateful that tumblr allowed me to meet my best friend.
