I’ll Be Taking Her
Alex mused behind his computer screen as he listened to the words the man spit out to her. He took pride in being able to keep her safe but this time wasn’t his fault. He had only gotten the text from Daniel that something was wrong and the two had hashed it out again. Sometimes Alex felt bad for the hard time that he had given the men who were in charge of her but at the same time he had high expectations. Not to mention that she had been sleeping away a lot more lately. They were getting comfortable and he was going to change that real quick. He looked up at Sebastian and Daniel who now stood in front of him, turning his computer screen for them to see. “At first I felt like a dick for permanently tracking her, but since she has a thing of ditching her phone I had to think of something.” He shook his head as he pointed to the circle that was now zeroing on a location. “Lucky for me, I planted not only a tracker in her ear rings but a small audio bug on one of the charms of her bracelet. I have eyes and ears all over her location.” He stood up and went over to the far wall, running his hand over the drywall. “Where the hell did she put that damn button.” he mumbled. Being a newly designed office made it a bit harder to be quick when he was still getting used to the layout. Finally a piece of the wall sank in a bit and the weapons closet opened. “As I was saying. Someone said they are her real father?” he questioned over to Daniel as he got himself strapped up with different weapons. “Anything ring a bell?” Alex asked as he looked over to him, getting ammo clipped to the belt. “Either way he said I shouldn’t be able to find her but how wrong he is. Let’s go rescue the damsel in distress.” he said to the men as he sent the location to his phone before taking off from the house. Alex pulled up about a block away from the location that he was told to go to. He knew better than anyone that if he went in there guns blazing not only could he get hurt but Maddie would be mad and he didn’t know which one was worse. Alex pulled the briefcase from the trunk and scaled up the fire escape, getting situated on the roof. He then put the sniper rifle together, looking through the scope. “The building is crawling with men.” Alex mumbled to himself. He had to be as stealthy as possible. He attached the silencer to the end of the barrel and scoped out his shot, taking out one of the men up top. Sebastian had taken out two of the other men from the building across the street from where Alex was at. Keeping them guessing was making them panic and he loved the chaos. He pulled his weapon apart and packed it away, leaving it there for Flynn to recover. Alex made his way into the building where Maddie had been at. He cleared each room that he had entered, leaving a basement door for last. He leaned down and picked the lock and opened it silently. He then made his way down the stairs with his weapon drawn, entering the room where she had been held with the man. Once he came into sight, Alex and her new found father were staring face to face, Alex not letting up his grip on his weapon. “For some one who doesn’t approve, you aren’t that great yourself.” He stated as he took a shot, clipping him in the leg on purpose. He needed time to get away and with all his men down, Alex had time. He reached over and grabbed Maddie, putting her over his shoulder. He turned around and looked at the man down on the ground in pain. “Looks like the days you could keep her here were only hours. Not that impressive. I’ll be taking what’s mine now.” Alex mused as he walked up the stairs and out of the house, tossing Maddie into the back of an S.U.V with him, ordering Daniel to drive as fast as he could once they were in.
