julien. TLR was a good demonstration of how much shit he could potentially be hiding from the audience, especially considering how weird his history is and the fact that we know nothing from before he made zane. TLR is half a proof.
turner. listen ninjago theories is an embarrassment and causes me physical pain whenever i remember it exists, but there’s still a pretty good post on there summing up why i think he’s lying about his element (link). there’s also the fact that he was trapped inside nadakhan’s sword, which is now locked in an alternate timeline, and we never saw turner get captured (we saw everyone else that was in the sword get captured on screen - turner’s just randomly there). and then you look at his outfit (front; back) and see two elaborate hourglass emblems and a shuriken with a clock face on it. hes fuckin sketchy.
turner is actually a whole other deal at this point tho, tbh. ive been occasionally tossing around ideas with myself ever since this season was revealed to be about time travel, and now we know another thing: there are time twins, and saunders is one of them. to say the least turner and his grandfather (bc that’s another thing, garmadon knew turner’s first and last name when he knew no one else, and specifically mentioned turner’s grandfather, even though garmadon knew literally nobody else) are sitting pretty high on the suspects list for the other one, if we’ve ever met them or if their identity is even relevant.
