I probably posted this before but personal Headcanon that Kai actually watched his parents get abducted and initially thought they were leaving and went over to ask them where they were going and they were forced to lie because Krux had a fucking weapon. Maya knelt down to like comfort her son, like a parent, and Krux told her they need to ‘get moving’ and when she stood up Kai saw the weapon but didn’t say anything cause holy shit that’s a weapon. And then Ray told Kai to go play and Kai ran off because holy shit that’s a weapon and Nya is his little sister. Kai feels extremely bad he didn’t do something when he grows up.
