So uh, here’s my first post. Do you guys like my two characters?
I HAVE TOO MANY THAT I DON’T USE
I have a story for these two and my other characters they’re involved with, I love these guys and I really try to make the story the best that I can. It’s not the best thing to ever exist, but I really care about it.
Rebuilding my pedal board.
The bottom of the post has the list of pedals.
I had the really big Pedal Train pedalboard. I had a difficult time setting up my pedal on the board even though it was big, it just didnt co operate, so i sold it. Old size rails for me and slightly small. I plan to make my own board out of wood. Im not a gigging musician, no need to take a beating..
I continually upgrade pedals when I can afford it or work a trade. I then sell the old ones to pay for new ones. If they are a fuzz or a hard to find classic od they usually get kept. Unless im really strapped for cash. Like most guitarists, space for my stuff is at a premium.
This is my everything Ive settled on currently accept my Source Audio programmable Eq. I bought it last week on ebay and its on its way. Pretty excited too, this eq is amazing looking and puts the old style to shame. It will go directly after the Big muff. The reasoning behind that is the eq will allow me to shape the distortion/fuzz sounds.
The fuzz in wired in that spot so that I can change in or out any other dirt pedal I want, or I can chain multiple dirt pedals together. The silver pedal is a truebypass looper to remove it all from the signal when not in use or to click all the dirt on with one button when cascading the dirt into eachother.
You will notice before the fuzz/distortion spot: a Aroma Mod station pedal that i use for phaser sounds, wah pedals (Ive custom wired the blue Crybaby wah true bypass, with a led), the Crybaby and vibe comes before the fuzz to create that Robyn Trower type sound. The crybaby and vib after the fuzz is for creating Hendrix/Jack White type sounds. Nux follows also for its phaser sounds, it contains other so so modulation, one thing Ive noticed about it, when its on its VERY quiet. The order of the pedals makes a significant change in the sounds produced.
The Fuzz Face (blue Mooer mini) needs to go at the beginning of the chain. It doesnt work its magic the same way with another pedal coming before it and effecting it.
The Digitech whammy goes right before the Crybaby from Hell pedal, and is used for drop tuning and Tom Morello (rage against the machine/audioslave) type sounds. It also has harmony settings. I do have a Mooer pitch shifter for that. I dont use the whammy much, and it sucks alittle tone so it has a true bypass switcher pedal also. Its on the verge of being cut from the team as you can see. Great pedal, not cheap in my world, got it used so Im holding on to it even if it leaves the board.
The end of my chain is in stereo, you can see it goes stereo after the Nux pedal. I run into two seperate amps, so that requires I have two BBE Sonic Stomps for each amp. I really wish they made this pedal in stereo. The Ibanez stereo/pan pedal isnt connect since Im not using it, but i will go before the Sonic Stomps to control or cut all the sound. I can also use the volume for voilin/ fading type affects.
Ive gone through tons of pedals. Changed what I was after, upgraded to better ones (usually modulation) and aquired more fuzzs, distortions, and overdrives. Ill write up more about that later.
The Egnator tweaker is my main amp. I also use a Crate V50 5112 combo amp. It has 6L6’s like a Fender and plays nice and clean. Previous owner replaced the speaker with a Eminence Private Jack that sounds really great. There’s also a Fender Power Chorus 2×12 solid state amp i got for $100 last year. Consider selling it once in awhile, I play it and keep it every time. The Egnator heads sits on a oversized detuned cabinet with Jensen Mod 12’s. There’s also a Fender Ramparte amp on the floor, great sounding 1×12 combo amp i got for $200 shipped on ebay.
These are just a few things Ive got to share about. Feel free to ask an questions or comment. I enjoy discussions on gear. Thank you. Myguitarlife.

BITQUEST. http://www.drscientist.ca
How do you feel about Dr. Scientist pedals? I've been looking a lot at the Bitquest recently. It seems a little busy, but does some really neat stuff that I like the sound of.
Dr. Scientist makes a bunch of rad pedals. Love them. The Bitquest is very very awesome too.

Prototyping new pedalboard.
I think I've posted this before, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better (or more tweakable) chorus on the market right now. I'd actually pick this over a TC SCF.
