①House looks like he’s frowning, but in reality, only the corners of his mouth are curving upward.Both the monitor and the portrait are smiling.

Perhaps the scene in the show where House breaks into a broad smile is based on that information.(It really is a meticulously crafted show.)

②I think the fact that it's hard to read his expression is one of the reasons he comes across as so cold.

Mr. House in the TV series has very long eyelashes. He looks just like a Kewpie doll.

Mr. House from the original game also appears to have thick eyeliner, so he might have long eyelashes. Plus, his double eyelids make his eyes look even more striking.

③The Face in the Portrait

He’s smiling slightly here, too. His parallel eyebrows are cute, but the lighting is way too eerie.Did the photographer really think this was okay?

With his sloping shoulders and slender neck, his build might be more delicate than I expected.

④House is portrayed in a way that feels like a “classic villain trope.”(Such as asymmetrical facial expressions and photos with half his face in shadow.)

Since I think *FONV* is a work with a morally ambiguous worldview—where there’s no clear distinction between good and evil—this might be a red herring intended to make House appear like a villain.(After all, he’s the opponent you have to defeat in 3 out of 4 routes.)

It’s interesting that despite this portrayal, when you actually look at his character, he isn’t quite the unforgivable, colossal villain you’d expect.

I think it’s an expression that masterfully stirs up a sense of unease. Just looking at his face sends shivers down my spine. That’s what I like about it.

His expression is asymmetrical; there’s no highlight in his left eye. He looks like he’s frowning, yet the corners of his mouth are turned up in a smile—but the angles of his beard and wrinkles seem to cancel out that smile. His eyes aren’t smiling either.

He has dark circles under his eyes, and the fact that his eyes seem to have a very slight squint might also be a factor in why his expression makes me feel uneasy.

⑥Mr. House from the TV show has a high nose and is sexy. Since the real, older House’s nose also looks pretty high, Mr. House must really have a high nose.He’s exactly my type.

Looking at the contours of House’s neck and face on the monitor, the skin around his neck looks pretty soft. After all, he was 57 years old at the time of the Final War.
