I previously speculated that Rhys will either play Trelane (a prototypical Q) or space huckster cyrano Jones,
either character would be AWESOME for him. But nuTrek sucks, soโฆ.
it looks like heโs going to be in a ep with Dr Scorby. nurse chapellโs fiance, turned android builder. soโฆthat would make Rhys Dr Scorbyโs assistant, Dr Brown, before umโฆhis life changed. Rhys doesnโt have the physicality of Ted Cassidy to play Ruk.
The NuTrek ep will be a prequel to the TOS episode is What Are Little Girls Made Of? The original ep is a riot. One of my favorites.
again, we shall see, but thatโs my guess as a dyed in the velour first run Trekkie and a Rhys Darby fan.
if this is the way they go, he will be VERY under-usedโAGAIN. Heโs so talented and heโs going to be relegated once again to a supporting role, and maybe limited screen time. Unless nuTrek gets creative, and I wonโt be holding my breath for that.
