trail mix. a little bit of everything and anything. combination. hopefully, there's something for everyone to enjoy. but i know most people are coming for the m&ms. and that's okay.

sometimes i make myself laugh bc my sense of humor is a toilet bowl and somehow my ability to find joy in writing is like a baby learning to swim (not in the toilet bowl, just to be clear)
i find that i like to write scripts in similar ways that my favorite writers do, and a lot of that in very humor / acting based - where instead of writing out a bunch of actions lines to break up the dialogue, i just have to trust that whoever is playing the parts and whoever is directing can bring the character to lives themselves. of course, i want to give them enough to work with, so it's my job as a writer to do that. but as often as teachers will say "every piece of dialogue has to have meaning", i think it's important for action lines to also have meaning. so i don't really care about a character scratching the back of their head unless that really means something. and i definitely find dialogue more interesting, so i'll have several paragraphs of dialogue before another action line, and it's not because the characters are standing in a blank room, not moving and speaking to each other, but i trust that any actor who is speaking that dialogue recognizes that the world is their oyster, and the character doesn't really belong to me once they're acting it.
idk if that all makes sense, but basically what i'm trying to say is i love aaron sorkin lol
