the earliest emotion petunia evans remembers is that of envy, her sister’s talents making themselves apparent from a young age. of course her parent’s favoured lily, she was warmer, kinder, had more friends. and now, witchcraft. this only made her upset, practically begging for her parent’s attention on the daily. lily got everything. petunia got nothing. or at least that’s how she saw it. 

moving out at eighteen was stressful, but she would never ask for help, never borrow money. this was the first moment she truly felt like a person, someone worth something. finding a good job, meeting a half decent man, and yet, something was missing. 

orion and walburga black are two of new york’s most well-known patricians. the children of aristocrats who were the children of upper-crusters who were the children of bluebloods. the term socialite brings to mind hard partiers, blondes with dogs in their purses who got into a little too much trouble. that’s new money. no, the black family’s goals have always been much more obfuscated. 

sirius black starting boarding school in new york city at eleven years old may have been the best thing that could have happened to him, and the worst thing to happen to his family. sirius had been sharply rebellious since he was three years old, but getting him away from his parents gave him real emotional ammo where before there was only empty arguments.

in school, sirius had a talent for a few things. he entered speaking french and latin alongside english, but quickly developed his skills in literature, speech and debate, and music. that wasn’t to say that he didn’t get in trouble-- he still landed himself in detention at least once a week, but he was charming enough that very few of his teachers could develop a grudge.

sirius was fourteen the first time that he appeared on the cover of a tabloid. he’d spent the night in juvie after what had supposed to just be a day of hooky had gotten out of hand, and the ferris bueller connection had been drawn immediately. it was a real smear on the family name at the time, but it looks quaint compared to the infamy that sirius has put on his parents in the twelve years hence.

upon the untimely death of talia hale, it was expected that her children would be the ones to take over the medium-sized company that she had spent her life building. derek has spent the last thirteen years unburying himself from that guilt, while eschewing that wish completely.

derek is a textbook case of a middle child, the only boy. he wears his emotions close to the surface, and those emotions are usually “irritated” or “annoyed.” still, his upbringing often brought him into a mediator role, an advisor, and often a second-in-command that he fits into naturally. 

derek has made some mistakes in his life, and he’s the first to admit that. but, in these new memories, they’re nothing that can’t be forgiven. instead of sleeping in subway cars, derek just takes a little longer getting to put his head to his pillow.

derek had initially entered college to study finance, but one required literature and mythology class had immersed himself into a world that his mother had told him about so frequently, but he had been too young to appreciate. he felt closer to her than he’d ever been, and couldn’t get enough.

at forty-one, dean winchester is a licensed and mastered mechanic, a lifelong new yorker, and has twenty-seven years under his belt as his father’s right hand man at their family business, a repair shop in the bronx. 

lately, however, both dean and his father have been stepping back from work, because of his father’s declining health. dean’s been helping him to run his household, stay up to date with the finances of the business, and spending quite a bit of his time at the hospital.

that isn’t to say that dean’s life revolves around that kind of thing. he has friends, and cares about the rest of his family, too. he even has a daughter, who he makes a conscious effort to spend as much time with as he can.

Debbie Gallagher is the fourth out of six children.  She loves all of her siblings dearly.  Growing up in a big family she tends to feel lost and not seen in the hustle and bustle of everyone.  Sometimes she acts out but she 95% means well when she does.  Her parents are assholes and was raised by her sister Fiona who she would die for.  She knows she isn’t supposed to have favorites but Fiona is her role model :we: just don’t tell her that.

Debbie is specifically from S1-S3, she doesn’t remember anything past that.  Her last memory is Fiona getting guardianship of everyone.
