beyond just me headcanoning that hyrule isnt nearly as good at faking a hylian identity as he thinks he is, i'm pretty sure that hyrule is the one link that has fairies as a random drop/encounter and the only other main character with this quirk is echo

and thats because echo has a literal fairy perfume that increases fairy drop rates by a lot, so hyrule literally smells like echo's fairy perfume and i think silent can put 2+2 together from there

as for legend, there is simply no way he doesnt know who legend is, not just because impa and lueberry probably thaught him history(and him being a sheikah probably adds a bit to his historical knowledge), but legend is his direct predecessor and is probably one of the biggest responsible for the hylian golden age that silent adn echo live in, is probably echo's grandpa and is historically one of the most important links atleast in downfall if not all the timeline, even if legend is humble as all hell in regards to his royal lineage he probably saw atleast a few portraits of the guy

for starters we have Legend, he fights the knights after they were brainwashed by aghanim, legend is a mere 11 years old at this point as he is hunted by the knights he is forced at fight back with all he has even killing the knights in the process

after the end of ALTTP legend uses the triforce to undo what ganon did bringing everyone who died back to life wich has the added benefit of him having to look at the people who chased him down and he was forced to kill whenever he goes to the castle(wich is really bad considering he is the prince of hyrule)

there are several people who known more about legend and his games than me so i will leave the deeper analysis of legend's trauma for them but i will say its no wonder legend prefers living on his uncle's house lol

Silent fights the guard in his second adventure: COH and while the circustances that lead Silent to fighting the guard are similar to legend with octavo controlling the guard the context surrounding Silent differs the two, after EOW Silent's closeness with echo and his apprenticeship under Impa would mean his presence in castle town would be extremely often especially with the sheikah stone a few rooms away from echo's bedroom

while to legend the guard are strangers who are hunting him to Silent those people are people he knows, they are his coworkers his friends people who sworn to defend hyrule just like him

there is also the fact that while legend is alone Silent does COH with quite a lot of people, Echo, Cadence, Yves, Romi(Skull Kid) and even Impa(yes she is only DLC but there is no real reason for her to not tag along so i'm mentioning her)

overall i dont think silent and echo they are definitly skilled enought to avoid doing so by COH especially considering the group they bring to fight octavo tho i can certainly see the discussion around the camp before they move towards the final confrontation

of course now theres hyrule

Hyrule fights echo's guard in the palaces of AoL those being some of the hardest enemies in the game
