Can you do something with Douxie,, mayhaps featuring his accent??💜💜 thanks!!
Sure! Sorry for taking so much time, I got caught up in other things. I’ve been a fan of Colin O'Donoghue since I saw him in OUAT and his accent is the stuff of legend! I just wish there were audios of him narrating stories.
Douxie has lived for a long time. He had time to learn dozens of languages and different dialects, read thousands upon thousands of books and travel to many places. But his accent stayed the same, something he was thankful for. It brought up a lot of questions though. ‘What part of England are you from?’ ‘Are you Irish?’ ‘Your accent sounds a bit outdated...’
He got the last one a lot. Thing is, yes, it was a bit outdated for the modern world. He did grow up in medieval times, you know. He’d be teased some times, but it wasn’t that bad. Usually it was just friendly teasing.
“Hey, British boy. Help me.”
Zoe stated as she lifted boxes full of vinyl discs to take to her store. Douxie chuckled. “Fine, my lady.”
Zoe turned to look at him. “Have people ever told you how old fashioned you are?”
Douxie grinned. “Chivalry isn’t dead.”
Zoe laughed. “The British boy accent gives it some taste.”
Douxie chuckled. “Maybe.” He frowned. “What do you mean it gives it some taste?”
Zoe rolled her eyes. “Dude. I won’t deny it, you’re good looking.”
“But it’s the accent. People dig it. Like melted butter to bread.”
Archie laughed. “That’s one way to put it!”
Douxie glared at his familiar. “And how would you put it?”
The familiar cleared his throat for dramatic purposes. “Like harmony of angels.” He nodded.
“Voice like a rising sun.” Zoe mocked.
“Like a gentle breeze on a morning beach walk.”
Douxie chuckled, a slight blush on his face. “Alright, alright, mates. Stop.”
Archie and Zoe laughed. “Dude, you should open a Youtube channel and monetize that voice reading books and sonnets.”
Archie’s eyes widened. “Not a bad idea, Zoe. We have been running low on funds, recently.”
“Oh, boy...” Douxie groaned.
