I think it'll be really important to remember, when we get G5 news, is that this isn't really for us.
Just because MLP has history, and lifetime fans, doesn't mean it "belongs" to fans of previous generations. It's a toy line, it's for little kids right now. As long as it's popular with kids now, it's doing what it's supposed to!!
That's not to say I don't have certain hopes for the next generation, I do, I'm just not looking forward to seeing adult fans get butthurt that it's not exactly what they wanted.
