actually having so much fun planning dnd it's amazing what happens when you have time to plan. i think also that every time i've dmed i learn so fucking much and then can Implement that next time round, which is why i'm trying to include character stuff even though it's a one shot (lessons from ppi) and planning combat both more precisely and in less detail (lessons from dotdw 1.0). mostly it's probably having the hours to dedicate to it because i'm not, you know, finishing my degree at the same time
also i may end up introducing the necro npcs as allies if these baby 2nd level characters get hurt too bad but it won't be the same without fey holding up a post-it that just had "GAY???" every time i brought in a new npc
