There’s either two ways you too meet

If you mean how you two meet at the Marine Life Institute

In the same exhibit there really isn’t much to see

Which means swimming around a lot and exploring what you can

One day you run into another fish who asks questions and repeats them moments later

At first you find this a bit odd but you like the fish who tells you her name is Dory

A lot of the times you and Dory don’t go swimming very far but you do play hide and seek sometimes

Except most times you have to remind her that you’re playing hide and seek

It doesn’t matter though because you like her and she likes you and that’s how you become friends

If you meet after the events of Finding Nemo then the two of you most likely meet around the school or the anemone

She’s new so you’re polite and introduce yourself

Offering to show her around

Despite the repetition of thoughts sometimes there’s a lot the two of you end up talking about

Turns out there’s a lot the two of you have in common

The friendship begins right away

Half the time exploring and the other half learning different things

Sometimes you teach her things and she’ll teach you things

Or take you to meet new people

You still find it odd she knows a Sea Turtle

Dory and Cassie are going to have their first “official” introduction. Probably in RtS, but possibly in the next Dory book? Either way, it’s bound to be equal parts intense and likely pretty funny (in a painfully awkward way).

 I think that from Dory’s POV there is definitely going to be some resentment. First, that her father never bothered to tell her (though I highly doubt she’ll be surprised by this); and second that this is the waifish little blonde that sent her ass out to pasture, as it were. But, I don’t figure Dory to be the type to see any of Mircea’s romantic entanglements as anything but a passing thing, so I doubt (aside from understandable wariness of her power) that Dory will give her much thought at all.

■ -  Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon:

Her room is a mess. Marlin tried to teach her how to keep everything in its place so that she wouldn’t lose things as much but she just, forgot, so there is stuff everywhere. (Occasionally Marlin sneaks in there and cleans everything. She doesn’t mind.)

She has odd decorating habits. She like stickers and posters and stuffed animals, and she puts them just wherever. Most of them are cute, but some are just odd. Like weird frog statues she found at goodwill, or awkward stickers that look like they came out of microsoft office’s clipart folder. Marlin learns to just not comment on it.
