Hi everyone! I’m leaving this Saturday morning and made a packing checklist, perhaps y’all find it useful for some last-minute inspiration.

For the bed //

2-3 bedding sets

memory foam pillow

comforter

1-2 decorative blankets

mattress protection

For the desk //

laptop, laptop charger, mouse, mousepad

Ethernet and HDMI cables

tablet, tablet charger, apple pencil, screen wiper, tablet bag

Bluetooth keyboard

phone and apple pencil accessories (extra nibs, SIM pin)

I have combed through many of checklists to bring you what i think is the ESSENTIALS to dorm life. feel free to add anything or take away as you please.

I recently did a Dorm Checklist content analysis and took around 10 lists made by multiple people (links to them in on the side) as well as lists about what items are forgotten most and what items are necessities for a college dorm. backstory: i had a shitty first semester and turned it around and have gotten requests on this sort of thing so here it is! also i know a lot of this is expensive but im thrifty and find it for cheap and can find it for u too if u ask. 

BEAUTY

cotton rounds- just trust me

sephora triple action cleansing water -clean face/remove all makeup with one swipe. 

heavy duty eye cream- for dark circles

exfoliating glove/towel and a self tanner if you choose- stress and hangovers make you ugly. stay glowing

kendi oil-saved my hair

a sleeping  mask- for day naps

a nice bb cream or tinted moisturizer - foundation is too much on weekdays

dry shampoo (havent found my favorite brand yet)

lush dusting powders for bed and skin

a non-irritating mascara 

a lotion with SPF

a fresh smelling perfume- living out of a dorm will make you feel disgusting. its hard to get around it. i personally like gucci flora series.

nail hardener

HEALTH

garden of life raw b-12 - especially if you dont get a balanced diet, this is ESSENTIAL for energy

caffeine tabs - cost/calorie efficient, dont yellow teeth

a gummy multivitamin, such as nordic berries

if you have a weak immune system, i reccomend supplements from garden of life

electrolyte tablets for hangovers and dehydration

CLOTHES

good quality yoga pants from lulu/athleta. i dont even do yoga and these are my most cherished items. also good sports bras

oversized jackets/fluffy coats. 

camis 

if its cold, i highly recommend Pajar boots and coats.

sunglasses, at least 5 pairs. ebay has cute ones for under $8

nice essentials (t shirts, jeans etc) like one teaspoon or T by alex wang

FOOD

to not gain weight and save money i highly recommend ordering groceries online. iherb has good supplements and thrivemarket has good organics .

dried nuts/fruit

miso soup packs

Garden of life protein shakes

crystal light/mio/whaetevr drink mixer

water bottle. iv been eyeing these, but i usually just refill a giant one i get from cvs/7-11 for like a week. whoopsssss 

HOME

superpower amazing smelling strong detergent, softeners, etc. the washing machines will most likely be shitty

huge, fluffy towels. 

a rug.

a plant 

a laptop skin. keeps computer identifiable and sans tacky ass stickers. i love mine its lasted all year. good brand

duvet cover with a high thread count.
