He’d been sitting at Felix’s bedside for the last few days, watching and making sure everything was okay. The horror he’d experienced was something he never wanted to feel again. The site of the man standing before him, bleeding, was still stained in his mind. Every time he thought about it, it hurt a little more. It wasn’t fair for something so horrible to happen to someone so wonderful. Despite all the things that were said about Felix, he was still a genuinely great person and didn’t deserve the shit treatment he got. But if PJ had to be honest with himself, there was a different and more personal reason for his devastation over the situation.
PJ was in love. It wasn’t much of a surprise, he thought. Falling for one of your best friends. And Felix was amazing. Handsome. Funny. All of these things combined. He always looked forward to spending time with him. It was why he’d worried so much about the lateness to begin with. Good thing he’d been at the ready when it happen, otherwise he might not be here right now. He’s alive PJ, it’s okay. He told himself, glancing over at the man’s sleeping figure laying on the hospital bed. He chewed at his lip, tapping his foot as he felt suddenly anxious being so far from him.
Finally, he shifted, standing up and walking over to the chair closest to Felix’s bed, letting out a huffed sigh. Felix appeared to be out cold, which was a good thing at least. He needed all the rest he could get. Still, he couldn’t help but frown, moving his hand to brush back the man’s hair as he sighed once again. “You’re going to give me a heart attack one of these days with how much I worry over you.” He said, shaking his head, letting his hand caress Felix’s cheek gently. He let a soft smile play at his lips as he leaned forward, daring to press his lips to the man’s forehead, keeping it light and gentle as possible. “Please don’t leave me...” He whispered, feeling his chest tighten a bit. “I love you too much to handle losing you.”
