Oddly enough, Dom (despite his general wariness of mages) seems to trust Dorian a good bit more than Adi did when she first met him in In Hushed Whispers -- I think it stems from the fact that Dorian is CLEARLY in bad shape here and risked quite a bit to get to the Inquisition in time.
I love the structure of this scene vs. the invading templars version, and am quite curious about Calpernia, who I don’t recall encountering before.
And I love Dom’s brief conversation with Cullen after Dorian finishes his message. Both of them are rather (per my headcanon) messed up from the party, but neither of them misses a beat. Dom immediately knows who to talk to for a plan...and Cullen has one, off the cuff and immediate, dividing their resources effectively and without missing a beat.
Of course everyone’s very well aware that they can’t hold off an invasion for any significant period. This is going to be a desperate effort to buy time, nothing more.
