☺️ 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 ​ ​I feel like this idea has to have been done before and I have likely had inspiration creep in from somewhere ... but I love Immovable Rods so here is my take on one that removes the bonus action activation in order to open up the potential for some different shenanigans. I imagine an acrobatic monk being able to salmon ladder up empty space, do gymnastic high bar swings to strike enemies or flyaways to vault up onto platforms, and of course be able to hang laundry. ​ ​⚔️ Somewhat Immovable Quarterstaff ​Weapon (Quarterstaff), uncommon (requires attunement) ​ ​This metal quarterstaff is surprisingly light and weighs only 4 pounds. ​ ​You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. ​ ​Once attuned you can mentally activate the staff causing it to become magically fixed in place (no action required). Until you menatally deactivate it, the staff doesn't move, even if it is defying gravity. The staff can hold up to 300 pounds of weight. More weight causes the staff to deactivate and fall. ​ ​👉 last minute optional bonus feature idea … for pole vaulting and pit crossing … as a bonus action you can mentally cause the staff to become a 10ft pole. While lengthened in this way it is unwieldy and can no longer be used as weapon. The pole remains this length until you mentally command it to become a quarterstaff (no action required). ​ ​🙌 All critiques and comments are encouraged, welcome, and considered.
