I saw this trend passing by, and I had some motivation here and there that made me able to create this!
Most of the time in my head it would be Mole who would die early on (assume they're about 21 to 23 in this comic), but I also like to imagine that in some alternate time lines Gregory does not make it long in life.
I like the idea that Mole is bad at showing affection in general, so he will always deny it, though Gregory understands his meaning behind those words. But Gregory due to his past is mostly un-readable, he is good at hiding his emotions, and Mole absolutely hates it when he isn't honest about them towards him.
