-Superman comes in gets caught in a net trap-

Doofreader: “Hm, oh sorry. No evil plans today. I’m getting cookies ready for Vanessa’s school’s bake sale.”

Superman: “Then what’s that new inator?”

Doofreader: “It’s my duplicinator!! I’m using it to make more cookies. I had an idea to use it for one of my evil plans, but it’s much more useful as a tool. Especially for Vanessa’s school events. When I’m not using it, it’s a handing coat rack.”

-Superman takes off the net and walks over to one of the cookies. Doofreader smacks his hand away-

Doofreader: “if you want one you’ll have to buy it like everyone else.”

Superman: “Haha sorry, do you need any help packing them.”

Doofreader: “Yes, actually if you can grab those pink boxes that’ll be great. I’m trying to make a lot for Vanessa’s thing, cause she’s a bit upset their other parent, my ex won’t be able to make it. They got the fever.”

Superman holding back his jealousy: “You were married?”

Doofreader: “Yeah, it didn’t work out. We were just better friends than anything romantic.”

Actual Doof is #The girl dad

But since Vanessa is still so young our Doof!reader is less tame about it

Especially with a fresh divorce and being worried om how it’ll affect her

But tbh I don't know how to make Vanessa feel about the whole thing its 50/50 if I want her to actually be glad about the divorce or upset

BUT ANYWAYS

When people hear that Doof!Reader was Married AND Divorced, boy do they go crazy

Batfam was angry at themselves for not going to the wedding

Only Alfred went and yes he showed them the invitation that was for everyone

Then angry about the notion of a divorce

Before they knew the reason for it they were 100% gonna go on a witch hunt for whoever broke their dear child/siblings heart (it was promptly shut down as soon as they figured out the reason for the divorce was from mutual agreement)

Lex and Supes were JEALOUS

All your firsts were taken

Lex was at the wedding too maybe and boy was he devastated

Lex at first didn't think much about Doof!reader

Thought it was another tech starter company he had to crush or buy out and close

But you once showed him one of your Inators

And told him the story as to why you made this really stupidly specific machine

Que flashback

“When I was young I entered a Science fair with my very first INATOR.

I wasn't very clever with names yet- it was just Inator

Just as I was about to demonstrate my invention to the judges

A kid with a baking soda volcano stole the show”

Since Doof!reader literally only exists to be the heir to Wayne Industries just in case bruce don't make it back one day

Reader owns a pretty decent percentage of shares once they reach 18

But since they graduated early they had to take some control early since Bruce can have more time for the night time activities

But since reader wanted out of Gotham and this family they did a bunch of things in the span of a week or so

Graduated on Monday

Married on Wednesday

Honeymoon and Slideshow on how it would be beneficial for them to start a branch company in metropolis to show at a board meeting on Thursday

Said board meeting on Friday

And buying and rebranding a metropolis building on Saturday and Sunday

Broski wanted OUT NOW

They are a dumbass but when they put their mind to something they can achieve it (also nepo baby)

Door!reader left after the Jason death and right after Timmy comes in

Dus W. Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc (idk if I'm keeping doofenshmirtz)

And a partnership with Lex Corp too so one day when Bruce actually has time to read the paper they see the big

“Wayne industries branch company now in business co-operation with Long time rival Lex Corp”

Headline and do a spit take

But this sudden thought hit me

Dr. doofenshmirtz type reader

Known for their insanely sad backstories while monologuing and explaining the reason for their recent contraption

No one knows the backstories are about the batfam since they never give up names but some people might put some pieces together

Reader is ofc also a divorced parent like doof

Doing everything for their daughter that the batfam never did for them

(Also can I be 🐏 anon?)

Supes will be an excellent choice

He hears about a Evil scientist and rushes to the scene gets captured but once Doof!reader starts talking he doesn't free himself

Even tho he easily can

He hears one sad backstory and goes

“Oh god, I need to fix them”

And it becomes a routine

Supes comes in gets captured hears out Doof!readers monologue cuz Clark knows Doof!reader just wants someone to listen to them

Supes presses the self destruct button and pats reader on the back for doing a good job anyway

Alr now how they got here

After reader graduates they escape from Gotham to the complete opposite of their home city to Metropolis

To add more salt to the wound they are good acquaintances with a mister Lex Luther

Ceo and rival to Mr Bruce Wayne and Wayne enterprises

(Doof!reader takes pride on shitting on their Dad through this)

With Doof!reader making him gadgets after gadgets

(the only time there isn't a funny self-destruct button in one of their contraptions due to Lex constantly making specific requests to not add one)

Their business relationship is not public tho

Due to the fact that Doof!reader is very obvious with their evil plans and crop just like the actual Doof

And yes they have The jingle and everything

Even if no one (civilians) but Vanessa actually believes they are “Evil”

Like when bruce was 16 he wrote a will that gave doof reader EVERYTHING with the wayne name. You know just in case he died while training. Later he thought about changing it but figured his other adopted kids were well off and reader clearly needed it as his only, in his eyes, normal child. (I like to think bruce wholeheartedly thinks that doof is his only normal kid and has no idea they've teamed up with lex and has "battles" with clark).

So fast forward Damien arrives becomes Robin and chills out. Then one day bruce has his lawyers over and he's going over his will again and Damien over hears. Bruce has decided to split the wayne fortune between both of them but gives Damien the manor for obvious reasons. Damien is intrigued cause he's never heard of doof. Que him spiraling into a rabbit hole.

Later on during one of superman and doofs "battles" Damien shows up with Jon, who reader has reprimanded clark over bring to battles multiple times cause children no matter how superpowered shouldn't be near villain fights. They immediately get caught and teleported to Vanessa's playroom.

Now, Damien has met his niece and has been recruited to help her prove their parent is evil. Really, Damien just wants to get closer to his only blood sibling and now his niece. Meanwhile, Jon just likes hanging out with Vanessa and Damien.

Also, speaking of Jon, I feel like doof would get really mad at any of the heroes for involving kids as sidekicks. Mainly just because doof reader had a horrible childhood and is a mother/father themselves. So the first time clark brought Jon to one of their "battles," it was the first time clark saw them really mad. Unfortunately, once Jon met Vanessa, he's been showing up to their fights just to hang out.

Doof thinks clark intentionally brings Jon and this continues till one day Jon comes over by himself and doof realizes they've been wrong. Doof apologizes and they all have a nice dinner where Vanessa tries to secretly tell clark doof is a villain. Doof is actually a good cook.

Yaya All that good inheritance stuff

If it weren’t for bruce remembering to do that and if all the other batkids didnt already have a source of income it’d be an episode of succession over here (ive never watched the show)

Since Doof!reader is an adult they already inherited a good portion of shares and money so the only reason they dont have everything is cuz Bruce is alive

So if they did ever inherit anything it’d be NOTHING compared to what you already have and have made after inheriting because passive income and what not

You already own and manage a branch company for Wayne enterprises you already have a good half of your inheritance

In this instance tho the only person other than you in the inheritance would be Damien but now its very minor and stuff he can only have once bruce is dead so..

Once he realizes this and now knows if the existence of a blood sibling, an OLDER blood sibling, one born out of two well known families too

He probably asks bruce and Alfred about you which leads to the rest of the Batfam to know of your existence (not Dick, tim and jason)

And bruce tells the truth about how he was married only to have a kid not out of wedlock and to inherit everything if he didnt make it back one day

Then Damien goes scouring around trying to find any trace of you to find you and show you he’s superior.

To cool down jon takes him to a patrol with his dad since he’s never seen Damien like this

And his dad just so happens to be on his way to stop his ‘evil’ scientist friend

And I feel like Reader knows supes takes jon with him to play with Vanessa and they appreciate it

But still ends up scolding clark for having a child sidekick

Also Reader sees this as an opportunity for Vanessa to have her own nemesis

I think real doof wants Vanessa to be evil/just like him so this would be cute

Doof!reader is the eldest kid if i want them to go through the whole marriage -> kid -> divorce timeline

Im not gonna go into specifics with it cuz i dont feel like thinking too hard

But to make them rather young 25 ish? Maybe?

They speed ran that #adulthood saga in of their life cuz they fr just wanted a family and wanted that #normal life outside the batfam

Maybe graduated early got married at 18-20 changed their last name ofc

Got their daughter soon after and divorced on good terms and changed their name again but kept the W

(Ex. (Reader) W. [last name])

I dont know if it makes sense timeline wise to make the kid around the same age as damien or much younger

Cuz If i want a more Vanessa personality shed have to be a pre-teen already done with doof!readers overbearing parenting/ evil schemes

Reader was there for Dick and Jason but maybe left right after jason died

Or maybe before

Doof!reader is ofc a genius inventor that could probably solve world hunger if they weren’t so caught up in the past and not really looking towards the bigger picture of things

Idk if i want to make a perry character or just have doof!reader being a villain to anyone that would listen to their monologues in the JL

It wouldn’t be a doof!reader if i didnt add the most iconic backstory

Maybe lets set it up like this

Doof!readers mom and bruce got married due to a previous betrothal set up before his parents went splat

Or maybe he himself rushed to marriage to make an heir just in case he didn’t make it back from his training arc

Either way

Bruce wasnt even in the country and the readers mom wasn’t present in their life in anyway besides physical (sometimes)
