HI ZAGZ!

It’s time for a special edition of M(AKA DOOBZ)TZWHITNBA&HWFAI…the one where I tell you about the Miracle of Life! Now, I know you’re probably thinking of that horrendous movie “The Miracle of Life” in which childbirth is illustrated, BUT, that is not it, that is a false movie title. Most (definitely not all) babies are great, but there is in fact only one Miracle of Life, and that is the birth of Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. completed by none himself than Iman Shumpert Sr. or should I say, Dr. Iman Shumpert Sr., OB/GYN.

On December 16, 2015, Iman Shumpert Sr. DELIVERED HIS OWN CHILD IN HIS OWN BATHROOM. In case it needed to be clarified, because it did on Bleacher Report, Shump is a professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cabs (yes, I wrote Cleveland Cabs) and believe it or not, did NOT go to medical school. Therefore, this is AMAZING! His fiancée, Teyana Taylor, took to Instagram to commemorate the birth of their baby girl, pointing out that Dr. Shump delivered the baby with his BARE HANDS, as if it is to be expected he’d wear gloves. This isn’t UDRS ya’ll, BSI/Scene Safety isn’t a thing. The future Mrs. Dr. Shump also pointed out that she didn’t even know she was in labor! It’s basically Cleveland’s own episode of “I didn’t know I was pregnant!” a TLC original, what an accomplishment!

Perhaps the most amazing thing about the Dr. Shump Miracle of Life (besides naming his female daughter after himself of course) is how he tied off the umbilical cord with a pair of BEATS BY DRE HEADPHONES. TMZ made sure to point out that Dr. Shump didn’t have a “medical grade clamp” in his home, which, if you ask me is a pretty rookie mistake for a new OB/GYN. However, I didn’t go to medical school nor do I play on the Cabs, so what do I know? (Answer: nothing…I’m just a new MTZ editor trying to make it in the real world.) Anyways, Beats by Dre are advertised as “Powerful Sound and Audio Technology,” but I think Dr. Dre is now safe to add the phrase “Infant approved! Use Beats by Dre for all your medical grade umbilical cord clamp needs!” After all, this is 2016 and he is a doctor as well.

Now a month after the birth of their daughter, who future Mrs. Dr. Shump refers to as “Junie,” it seems as though Dr. Shump & future Mrs. Dr. Shump are back to normal. He’s playing in the NBA and she apparently is an R&B superstar with several what I would call, “smash hits”. My personal favorite is “Google Me” which you can watch below. As far as the future for Dr. Shump, don’t forget we are married, and we will need an OB/GYN eventually. Paul Sarah Zagzebski Jr. has quite the nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Doobz – Amazing

Miami native Doobz is starting off this new year right with the release of his newest track “Amazing”. As soon as the first bar is delivered you already know that there is one goal and that is to get one simple message across.

That message is simply that there is no half-stepping, pump faking or fronting going on when it comes to how real he is to his craft and how much he has grown in this…
