Continuation of Doctor's Appointment

Camellia glanced up at the medical assistant with relief. She glanced over at the Spanish guy, who seemed puzzled. “See you around,” she said genially, following the woman back into the examination room. In a few minutes the doctor comes in to see her. “Hey, doc,” Camel said, swinging her legs. “Who’s the Spanish guy sitting out in the waiting room?”

Nathan didn't usually travel by a commercial airline, but given that he hadn't been on the no-flight list for getting close to twenty years now. He was traveling back to the United States after finishing a job in Spain. It had taken a few weeks to get everything done, but it was not without reward. Nathan was going back home 7 million euros richer; all wired through multiple shell companies in the Cayman Islands.

Nathan wasn't normally helpful, not by all means. But this was as close to a good day as Nathan could get to. Well, except for that one day in Costa Rica, but he put that from his mind. Nevertheless, his helpfulness by picking up the fallen passport could only be explained by a good mood. That and the fact that the whispers in his ear let him know the young man who had dropped it was immortal.

     It wasn’t a regular thing for Toby, that much was certain.  He stood outside the spa, Soul Oasis, looking up at the sign.

     ‘That’s a ridiculous name,’ he thought to himself.  ‘It’s almost as bad as that tea shop I passed on the way.’  He heaved a heavy sigh, feeling slightly less confident in his decision to get a massage.  He did need help with stress release, and he’d read somewhere that massage was supposed to be good for that.  Even still, he wasn’t sure it sounded exactly pleasant.
